Oh the things you can do!

Came across this TEDx video shared by my friend on Facebook. And again, stories like these leave me awe-struck. Couldn't agree more with the speaker - Our lives are determined not by what happens to us, but by the choices we make.

And for several weeks now I have been stressed and stressed and stressed. Partly about trivial things and partly about the most important things of my life. Taking a decision is so painful. What if things don't happen the way we want it to be? Do we have a plan B? What if plan B fails as well?

Notice, how we focus on the negative. We never seem to focus on the positive things that happened to us. Why is it so darn tough to be grateful about essential things in life - that we generally have it good? Good health, smooth finances, a safe shelter, good friends, supportive family. Why do all these seem trivial in the grand scheme of things?

And that's when I realized I am sweating on the small stuff. What is the most important to me in my life? Family first, happiness next and everything else is the small stuff.

Plans are good, but they are not your life.
Decisions are good, if you don't regret them.
Happy moments are good, if you have bad memories to compare.

The yin and the yang - it all depends on how you embrace each of them.

So I decided to take it easy. Let go. And live life.

How are you hacking your life together? It starts now. Right now.
